Case-study: a commissioned memory
Challenge → Approach → Result
Challenge
A client brought a faded family handkerchief and a request: translate a small stitched motif into a wearable patch series suitable for daily use without losing its intimacy.
Approach
We documented the motif, sampled three colorways, and crafted two stitch-density variants for durability. The client approved a soft-sage palette; we tested on organic cotton and linen.
Result
The final set included three small patches and one framed sampler. Each piece carried the original layout but used stronger foundation stitches; the client gifted them to family, preserving the original memory in a modern form.
